I'm working on a few things, which I may throw up on here. They're some technical documents, or rather reports on them, but I'm working on abstracting away some of the proofs and details so that the intuition comes out of them. It should be interesting, one will be on intrusion detection and the other will be on system survivability.
In other words: how to detect hackers, and how to survive them.
Ooo... the "h" word that makes all of us geeks so damned cool, thanks to Hollywoodification. If only people knew that there wasn't any Microsoft Virtual Virus Maker 6.0, and that all that shit that they magically do with 8 flatscreens and a pretty GUI is all really done with some antiquated piece of shit *NIX boxes and a whole lot of pure text consisting of IP addresses, ping traces, and some other disgusting textual output.

Anyways. I need to stop being lazy and make myself a new layout too. I like this one, its suitably dark and depressing, but I think at this point I just need something a tad different. I'd ask Candace, the lovely girl who made this one (and my previous ones) but she's sorta disappeared on me, which means I might actually have to *gasp* program HTML.

On another completely random aside, I've just depressed myself with my research. An algorithm I'm seeking to implement, or rather, a brute force method to exploring a possibility of several implementations of an algorithm, has just exploded in my face due to an exponential blowup in time. What does that mean?
It means if I actually get the code I have written working (goddamn nested loops having outputs depending on a variable number of previous output values) its going to take a long ass fucking time to run. Like hours. Maybe days. Hopefully not weeks. If that happens, expect a few shorter updates.
Cus I'll need my CPU cycles goddamnit.
